Prices

Each tab here becomes a tab of price buttons on the invoice. Prices don't include the certificate fee, which is added on its own line. Use a minus sign for discounts, like -10.00.

Where coupons come from

When an invoice has a coupon or discount, staff tap where it came from before taking payment. The Invoices list and the daily totals count them, so you can see which ads bring customers in.

People

Staff write up invoices, take payment and print. Admins can also set prices, change settings, void or reopen invoices, see the daily totals and export. An admin who leaves the screen alone for 10 minutes gets signed out.

Computers and phones

FSC POS only works on computers and phones an admin has set up. To add one, open pos.smogcheckr.com on it and type an admin name and password. Remove any you no longer use, like a lost phone.

Shop details

These print at the top of every invoice. BAR requires your ARD number with the business name and address as BAR has them on file.

Applied to work only, never to the certificate fee. Leave at 0 unless your CPA tells you otherwise.

Backups and your data

Your invoices are saved in your own Hostinger account, in a private folder the web can't reach. FSC POS also makes a copy there every day, and Hostinger backs up your whole account.

Download a backup every week or so and keep it on a USB drive or your OneDrive. It's one file with everything in it. For reading the invoices in Excel, use Export on the Invoices tab.

Copies on the server

BAR requires keeping invoices at least 3 years. FSC POS never deletes an invoice: a mistake gets voided and stays on record with the reason.
